Name one African American rapper who can pull off the Chuck Taylors, a plaid shirt, and tube socks other than Ice Cube when he had the jheri curls. This artist has popular singles such as Black and Yellow, Taylor Gang, See You Again, On My Level, Young, Wild, and Free, and We Dem Boyz! Outside of music, he was also popular for his relationship with Amber Rose. This artist is none other than Wiz Khalifa!

Wiz Khalifa was born Cameron Jibril Thomaz on September 8, 1987, in Minot, North Dakota. Growing up, Thomaz was an army brat: meaning he moved around a lot because his parents were both stationed in different areas of the world. Throughout his life, Thomaz has lived in Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom. It was not until the year of '96, that his family finally settled down in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2004, that was when he had first dipped his feet into the music scene. According to some who knew him before he had his big break, he was a diamond in the rough that needed some polishing. A year after, he released his mixtape Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania. After the release of the mixtape, it paved the way for his then album Show and Prove in 2006. Since then he was signed to Atlantic Records and he has released popular projects: Deal or No Deal, Rolling Papers, O.N.F.I.C, Blacc Hollywood, and Rolling Papers 2. My favorite songs by Wiz Khalifa are On My Level, Taylor Gang, Black & Yellow, We Dem Boyz, Young, Wild, and Free, and See You Again. I highly recommend these songs!

Earlier this year, he had released an album called Multiverse. Majority of his fans probably wondered what Wiz Khalifa has been doing with his life since Black and Yellow! When I say his music from the mid 2000s, was an era? IT WAS! Since then, he came out with Multiverse! My favorite songs off this album is Iced Out Necklace, Funkin, Godard Bags, 1000 Women, and Memory Lane. All of the songs that I just mentioned, I like the vibe of them. It makes me want to go to a party and play some Wiz Khalifa! I like this album and Wiz needs his flowers!
Even though Wiz took a hiatus from music, he devotes majority of his time being a great father to his son, Sebastian. I, and maybe some other fans, are glad that Wiz is back on the saddle to making music! It is time for him to make his mark!
