However, this barb has several different looks that she serves. You might be familiar with her relationships with Love and Hip Hop star Safaree Samuels and Philly rapper Meek Mill. In addition, there were rumored relationships between this favored artist with Nas, Drake, and Eminem. This rapper is none other than Nicki Minaj!

Nicki Minaj was born Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty on December 8, 1982 in Trinidad and Tobago. She is the middle child between her older brother Jelani, and younger sister Ming. Petty grew up with her grandmother since her father was battling a drug and alcohol addiction. Due to her father's addiction, Petty's home was burned down in December of 1987. She auditioned for admission to LaGuardia High School of Music, Art, & Performing Arts, in which she was successful. After graduating high school, she wanted to pursue her career in acting. Minaj was casted in the play "In Case You Forget" in 2001. Starting in 2004, she signed with a Brooklyn music group called Full Force. While she was signed with Full Force, she has made entrance songs for WWE superstars. However, her time with Full Force was up. In 2007, she signed with Dirty Money Entertainment which was ran by the CEO Fendi. During her time with Dirty Money Ent., she has released numerous mixtapes: Playtime Is Over, Sucks Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty. One of her famous tracks, which is one of my favorite throwback songs, I Get Crazy, charted at number 20 on BillBoard Hot Rap Songs. The hot single also charted number 37 on the Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Songs chart. Since then, she was discovered by Lil Wayne, and she has been signed to Young Money Entertainment. From then to now, Nicki has released so many great albums: Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, The PinkPrint, Queen, and Beam Me Up Scotty.

Recently on August 12, 2022, Minaj released Super Freaky Girl. In addition, she also released a remix of Skeng's song Likkle Miss on August 26, 2022. I love both songs because Super Freaky Girl gives workout vibes. I can visualize myself on the cycling machine while listening to this song. Also, I would play this song at a get together. As far as Likkle Miss, I love the dancehall sound. This song makes me want to get up, grab a drink, and dance like a Caribbean gyal. Nicki always has fire lyrics, great visuals, and she just eats the Barbz squad up! From when she started to where she is now, she has made so many great songs! I hope that the nightclubs and the radio play both songs because it will have the good girls dancing!
If you are a Nicki fan, you know that she is iconic! To some people, she copied the style of Lil' Kim, but her flow differs from Lil' Kim. Nicki always switches up her sound. For example, she can go from a song like Right Through Me to Chun-Li to My Chick Bad. Nicki Minaj is very versatile as an artist, and even as an entertainer. I feel like more people should listen to Nicki Minaj more because she has so much to offer regardless of her personal life. Overall, I am excited for Nicki to release her entire album. Hopefully sooner than later, she can add some artists on some songs to feature with her!
