It's Going Down with Yung Joc

In Atlanta, music and sports is what bonds the African American community and I think this artist has been one of the most influential rappers in the Atlanta culture. This artist is an Atlanta native. He is that one rapper who rides around in Chevies with butterfly doors. He is also known for starring in VH1's reality show Love and HipHop: Atlanta. This artist is none other than Yung Joc!

Yung Joc was born Jasiel Amon Robinson on September 20,1980, in Atlanta, Georgia. However, there is not a lot of information about Robinson's life because he is a private person. Now, what one does know is that his father owned a hair-care line and helped Robinson to write a song for Revlon. Later on in his life, Robinson found his label Mastermind to release his own music. Robinson is known for songs such as It's Goin Down, Coffee Shop, and I Know You See It.

Robinson made his debut onto the music scene in 2005 when he had first met with Nitti Beatz, and in the same year It's Goin Down was released in the spring. The single reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. After the success of It's Goin Down, New Joc City was released. In 2007, Hustlenomics was released with popular singles such as Coffee Shop and Bottle Poppin'. Since then he had put out another album called Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood. During his career, he was also starred on Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. During his time on the show, Robinson was viewed as a player, but that did not mean one was going to stop listening to his music.

However, it has been almost a decade since Robinson has put out music. As broadcasted on Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, he is now a radio host and he also owns a hair salon called Salon Eshelon in Georgia. I hope Yung Joc can make music like he did in the early 2000s because it was a vibe!
