Females in the rap game has always been a blessing! Female rappers such as Da Brat, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Queen Latifiah, Foxy Brown, and Lil' Kim have set the tone of the rap game for females today! This female rapper who has been playing a significant role in the music industry today, is none other than Cartier Caash! She just released her new single called Meanwhile and it has already hit over 5,000 views on YouTube! For females in the rap game, she has been setting the bar for herself as an artist.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Cartier has been making her way to the top with her music. She reminds me a lot of Rod Wave, but female. What really inspires me is that she is a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and she's marking her territory. Along with the release of Meanwhile, she has released other singles such as Shadows, Fall Off, Stepped On, Trust Nobody, and more! With Cartier's music it is such a vibe. Her music just makes you want to turn on your LED lights to the color purple just for the aesthetic. My favorite song by Cartier would be Fall Off. I feel that she deserves more recognition, especially with the fact that she is an African American woman.
When Cartier released Meanwhile, she was ready to have listeners in a chokehold! When she first disclosed the snippet of the song, I already knew that the song was about to be a hit! After listening to the song a couple of times, I was ready to drive 85 doing 100 on a 70 in the middle of the night. As time goes on, she is making her way to the top with no hesitation. However, I wonder if she would do a collaboration with any other artists. I am rooting for her greatness!
Overall, this Jersey native is doing great for herself and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for her music career. From her northern aestheitc to her hardcore lyrics, Cartier is not the one to play with! Being African American, we love all the support we get because not a lot of us support eachother. However, this rapper has mine! I cannot wait to see what else she has in store.
